It’s that time of the month again, friends. What will Nancy read in July? First, I did a lousy job with the June list, so I’ll start by finishing those books.
The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle
Given my recent Sherlock obsession, this can’t come as a surprise to anyone. This volume has 12 of the classic short stories. I also have a 4-in-1 set of the novels which I might get into later this summer.
The Lady Most Likely... by Julia Quinn, Connie Brockway, and Eloisa James
Again, no surprises here. I love Regency romance, and this kind of collection of novellas is my favorite. The stories are smaller, but not quite bite sized–just enough to read in an evening and feel satisfied.
Tea With Jane Austen by Kim Wilson
A birthday present I am shamefully late getting to. As both an avid tea drinker and an acknowledged Janeite, I’m really looking forward to reading this book.
A Weekend With Mr. Darcy by Victoria Connelly
I won a copy of this last summer in a blog giveaway, and it’s languished on my bookshelf ever since. I’ve got big plans for cleaning out my shelves (stay tuned for giveaways in August), but first I need to actually read the books.
In addition to these three books and the five I did not complete in June, I also want to re-read Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings. Um, okay. So this is not all going to be accomplished in the month of July, especially not with all the writing/rewriting I’m doing. I will try to post status updates to Goodreads, so if you follow me on Twitter you’ll have some idea of how I’m doing.
Now, for the fun question: What’s on your summer reading list?
